No. 4 of 1949Imposition of Duties (Confirmation of Orders) Bill, 1949
Public bill · Government · Introduced
The measure would confirm four government orders made in 1948 under the emergency law allowing duties to be imposed quickly. These orders introduced duties on malt extracts and fish-liver oil, certain bottles and jars, lead-acid batteries and parts, and footballs and their covers. Confirmation by the Oireachtas would give those existing orders formal legal approval and keep the duties in effect. The measure contains no wider changes beyond listing and confirming these specific orders.
