No. 13 of 1973Redundancy Payments Bill, 1973
Public bill · Government · Introduced
The Redundancy Payments Bill, 1973 would amend the rules for weekly contributions to the Redundancy Fund. As set out on page 2, people who are working while receiving certain payments—such as a widow’s pension, deserted wife’s benefit or social assistance—would no longer have to pay these contributions. This would reduce deductions for people receiving these forms of support, with the change taking effect on a date set by the Minister for Labour.
