Gives the Commissioners of Irish Lights responsibility for managing maritime radio-navigation systems and clear powers to provide, maintain and improve them. It also allows them, with ministerial approval, to work with international bodies and other authorities, provide navigation and safety services, make related contracts, and take on additional maritime functions.
