The Bill would make Sunday work optional for most shop employees, ban discrimination against those who decline it, and require at least time-and-a-half pay plus a half or full day off for Sunday work. Employers would need to give advance notice, keep records and follow a complaints process, with compensation of up to 10 weeks’ pay for breaches.
