Child Trafficking and Pornography Bill 1997

The measure would make it serious offences to traffic, sexually exploit or use children in pornography, and to produce, distribute, advertise, import, sell, show or knowingly possess child pornography, including computer-generated material. It would allow Garda searches and seizures, court-ordered destruction, tougher action against companies and responsible managers, video-link evidence from children, and possible refusal of bail in serious cases.
