Tribunals of Inquiry (Evidence)(Amendment) Bill 1998

Allows the Government to change the document setting up an inquiry tribunal, including one established before the Act was passed, if the tribunal requests it and both Houses of the Oireachtas approve. The tribunal must be satisfied that the change would not harm the legal rights of anyone who cooperated with it or supplied information.
