Protections for Persons Reporting Child Abuse Bill 1998

The Bill would protect people who report suspected child abuse in good faith and reasonably, shielding them from civil claims and workplace punishment, including dismissal. It would also make knowingly false reports an offence, punishable by a fine or imprisonment.
