Control of Wildlife Hunting and Shooting (Non-Residents' Firearm Certificates) Bill, 1998

Would require visitors who come to Ireland to hunt or shoot wildlife to obtain a firearm certificate valid only for their stay and future visits, with the authorised shooting lands specified where practicable. It would also require anyone organising or promoting such activities for non-residents to hold an annually renewable District Court licence, with offences and penalties for operating without one.
