National Disability Authority Bill 1998

The legislation would establish an independent National Disability Authority to advise the Minister, coordinate disability policy, conduct research, develop and monitor service standards, and promote good-quality services. It would also allow the transfer of staff, property and responsibilities from the National Rehabilitation Board, while protecting transferred employees’ pay and conditions.
