Postal and Telecommunications Services (Amendment) Bill 1998

Would facilitate the sale or issue of shares in Bord Telecom Éireann, while requiring the Dáil to approve the general principles of any sale and protecting existing staff pension rights. It would also remove some state-enterprise rules from the company, extend certain legal duties to all licensed telecom operators, and make related technical changes.
