Would end the blanket exemption for junior hospital doctors and other doctors in training from working-time limits. It would count on-call hours as working time, require 11 hours’ rest in each 24-hour period, and introduce a maximum 48-hour week over seven years, to reduce fatigue-related mistakes and protect doctors’ health.
