Updates Ireland’s patent rules to comply with World Trade Organisation intellectual-property standards and changes to the European Patent Convention. It revises rules on patent applications, foreign priority claims, European patent translations, imported products and compulsory licences, including when someone may use a patented invention without the owner’s permission.
