Organic Food and Farming Targets Bill 2000

The bill would require the Minister for Agriculture to create a plan aiming for 30% of Irish farmland to be organic or converting to organic, and 20% of food consumed in Ireland to be organic by 2010. It would also promote affordable access, local food economies and adequate supply, with public consultation, parliamentary approval and reviews every five years.
