Harbours (Amendment) Bill 2000

Allows harbour functions to be transferred between existing harbour companies or combined into a new company where this would be more efficient. It also protects transferred staff and existing harbour and pilotage rules, updates chief-executive arrangements, and raises the State’s possible financial support from £50 million to £60 million, including for purposes beyond capital works.
