Firearms (Firearm Certificates for Non-Residents) Bill 2000

Creates a system for people who normally live outside Ireland to obtain short-term firearm certificates for hunting or sporting use, subject to checks, conditions and relevant hunting licences. It also updates wildlife licensing, allows certificates to be revoked for safety or misuse, and makes providing false information or altering certificates a criminal offence.

Bill entitled an Act to provide for amendment of the provisions governing the limitations and restrictions for the granting of firearm certificates under section 3 of the Firearms Act, 1925, in respect of persons not ordinarily resident in the State, and the granting and renewal of hunting licences under section 29 of the Wildlife Act, 1976, and to provide for connected matters
