Local Government (Sligo) Bill 2000

The Bill would make Sligo Borough a separate county borough, independent of Sligo County Council, and expand its boundary to include specified surrounding areas. It would create Sligo City Council, transfer existing borough councillors to it, and establish a city manager—initially also serving as county manager—to oversee functions not reserved for the council.
