Updates housing support in Gaeltacht areas by providing grants for repairing thatched roofs, allowing people not yet living there to apply for new-house grants, and potentially increasing island grants to twice the normal amount. It ends grants for second homes and holiday chalets, prevents duplicate public funding, enables recovery of fraudulent or overpaid grants, and transfers loan repayment responsibilities to the relevant Department.
