The Bill would make it easier to sell TSB Bank by setting out how trustee savings banks could be reorganised as companies, transferred to a new owner and merged with its parent company. It would also allow employee share-ownership trusts, provide for temporary Central Bank supervision during the changeover, and protect the use of the “TSB” name.
