Carer's Leave Bill 2000

The Bill would give employees with at least one year’s continuous service up to 65 weeks of unpaid leave to provide full-time care for someone officially assessed as needing it, while protecting their right to return to work and shielding them from unfair treatment. Leave could be taken in one block or several periods, and eligible employees might also receive Carer’s Benefit.
