Vocational Education (Amendment) Bill 2000

The Bill would modernise Vocational Education Committees by adding elected parent and staff representatives, clarifying which decisions members must make and which the chief executive manages, and giving committees broader planning and consultation duties. It would also strengthen government oversight through spending limits, annual plans, accounts and public reports, while allowing committees to cooperate and requiring longer-term education plans.
