Succession Bill 2000

The Succession Bill 2000 would generally invalidate gifts or property left in a will to a person’s doctor, or the doctor’s spouse, helping prevent undue influence. It would not affect payment of debts owed to the doctor or gifts to close family members, including where the doctor is the person’s spouse, parent, child, grandparent, sibling or certain relatives.
