Agriculture Appeals Bill 2001
Public bill · Government · Presented
Would create an independent Agriculture Appeals Office where farmers could challenge Department of Agriculture decisions about entitlement to specified schemes and receive written reasons. Appeals could include private hearings, be revised if new evidence emerged, be reviewed by the Ombudsman, and be taken to the High Court on a legal issue; the arrangements would also cover certain beef-trading certificate representations.
