Twenty-fifth Amendment of the Constitution Bill 2001

The proposal would amend Article 29.2 of the Constitution to state that Ireland should maintain a policy of not belonging to military alliances. It would constitutionally reinforce Ireland’s military neutrality and guide the State’s approach to international security cooperation.
