ACC Bank Bill 2001
Public bill · Government · Presented
The measure prepared ACC Bank for sale by doubling its authorised share capital, creating an employee share-ownership trust, and allowing the Finance Minister to sell the State’s shares, subject to Dáil approval for most sales. It continued State guarantees for some borrowings and removed special statutory rules so ACC could operate more like a private company.
