Family Support Agency Bill 2001

The Family Support Agency Bill 2001 would create a national agency providing family mediation, and supporting marriage and relationship counselling, parenting and family-support services. It would fund voluntary organisations, manage existing family-support programmes, provide information and research, and advise the Minister on family policy. The agency would have its own board, staff and budget, while remaining accountable to the Minister through strategic plans, annual reports, audits and oversight of its spending.
