Strengthens the Government’s powers to prevent and control serious animal diseases, including foot-and-mouth disease. It allows officials to search premises, seize or dispose of animals and materials, regulates animal dealers and resale, increases penalties, permits bans on agriculture-related activities, and creates offences for obstructing officials or tampering with ear-tags.
