Digital Hub Development Agency Bill 2002

The proposal would turn Digital Media Development Limited into a statutory Digital Hub Development Agency, responsible for developing the Digital Hub as a base for digital businesses, securing infrastructure, preparing and delivering a development plan, and consulting local communities and relevant enterprise agencies. It would give the Agency a publicly accountable board, government oversight, financial controls, annual reporting and conflict-of-interest rules, while transferring the existing company’s property, contracts, assets and liabilities to it; the Minister could also expand the Hub’s area.
