Twenty-fourth Amendment of the Constitution Bill 2002

Would amend Article 29 of the Constitution to allow Ireland to accept obligations arising from United Nations membership or UN-authorised action, while preventing it from joining arrangements that automatically require military assistance to defend another country and remove Ireland’s freedom to decide whether to take part.
