Ombudsman for Children Bill 2002

The Ombudsman for Children Bill 2002 would establish an independent Ombudsman for Children to promote children’s rights and welfare, advise the Government, and review how laws affect children. It would allow children, parents and suitable people acting for them to complain about administrative actions by public bodies, schools and voluntary hospitals, with the Ombudsman able to investigate and make recommendations.
