Proceeds of Crime (Amendment) Bill 2003

Public bill · Private Member · Presented

The proposal would allow money seized from suspected criminals to be used after three years instead of being held for seven. The Minister for Justice could direct these proceeds towards organisations and projects tackling the harm caused by drug importation, distribution and sale, rather than sending all of the money to the Exchequer.
