Motor Vehicle (Duties and Licences) Bill 2003

Raises motor tax rates and trade-plate licence fees by 12% for licences starting on or after 1 January 2003, including revised rates for vintage vehicles. It also updates vehicle records to include registered but not yet taxed vehicles, removes an outdated sterling amount, and gives the Minister a legal basis for processing motor-tax applications online. The extra revenue will go to the Local Government Fund, supporting local authorities and non-national roads.
