Dormant Accounts (Amendment) Bill 2004

The Dormant Accounts (Amendment) Bill 2004 would replace the existing Dormant Accounts Fund Disbursements Board with an 11-member Dormant Accounts Board, responsible for planning spending and checking whether it achieves its goals. Government would decide which programmes and projects receive funding, after an open application process, and successful awards and amounts would be published. The Fund would continue supporting people who are socially, economically or educationally disadvantaged, or who have a disability.
