Land Bill 2004

Public bill · Government · Presented

The Land Bill 2004 would clear land purchase and reclamation annuities of €200 or less, including arrears, and offer farmers with larger annuities a 25% discount for paying them off in full, including arrears. It would strengthen recovery of unpaid debts, simplify the transfer and registration of former Land Commission land, and make it easier to transfer trust property. It would also remove outdated controls on subdividing, letting and buying agricultural land, while improving notice and appeal arrangements for land ownership orders.
