Council of Europe Development Bank Bill 2004

Ireland would approve the agreement establishing its membership of the Council of Europe Development Bank, which finances projects supporting refugees, displaced people and migrants, as well as housing, jobs in disadvantaged areas and social infrastructure. It would allow Ireland to pay its share of the Bank’s capital from public funds, receive any money due to the State, and have the Central Bank hold the Bank’s euro and other assets. The measure would also give the Bank and its officials the agreed international privileges and legal protections in Ireland.

Bill entitled an Act to provide for the approval of the terms of the Agreement for the Council of Europe Development Bank and to provide for matters (including payments) related to that Agreement.
