Landlord and Tenant (Ground Rents) Bill 2005
Public bill · Government · Presented
The Bill would stop tenants of certain industrial-development properties from automatically claiming ownership of the land beneath their buildings. It would add IDA Ireland, Shannon Development and Údarás na Gaeltachta to the public bodies whose leases are excluded from the 1978 ground-rents legislation, while removing a reference to the defunct Irish Land Commission. The change would not affect notices, applications, arbitrations or court appeals already started before the Bill became law.
Formal long title
Bill entitled an Act to amend section 4 of the Landlord and Tenant (Ground Rents) (No.2) Act 1978 and to provide for related matters
