Good Samaritan Bill 2005

The Good Samaritan Bill 2005 would protect people who, in good faith, help someone who is ill or injured in an accident or emergency from being sued or otherwise penalised because of their intervention. Healthcare professionals helping as part of their jobs would not receive this protection.

Bill entitled an Act to protect from liability, persons who act in good faith to provide assistance to a person who is ill or has been injured as a result of an accident or emergency and for that purpose to alter the position at common law
