Registration of Wills Bill 2005
Public bill · Private Member · Introduced
The Registration of Wills Bill 2005 would create a confidential national register recording where a person’s will is held, allowing the person or their solicitor to register it. After the person’s death, authorised applicants could search the register, making wills less likely to be overlooked or discovered late.
Formal long title
Bill entitled an Act to provide for the extension of the Civil Registration Service to the registration of certain information regarding wills and for those purposes to revise the law relating to the Civil Registration Service and to provide for related matters
