Competition (Amendment) Bill 2005
Public bill · Government · Presented
The bill would ban certain unfair grocery-trade practices, including forcing resale prices, treating equivalent transactions differently, demanding advertising payments and charging “hello money” for new or expanded shops. It would let affected businesses and the Competition Authority take court action, repeal outdated groceries restrictions, and revoke the 1987 Groceries Order.
