Health (Repayment Scheme) Bill 2006

Creates a scheme to repay wrongly imposed public long-term residential care charges, including inflation, to eligible living people and the estates of those who died since 9 December 1998. Repayments to living recipients would be tax- and means-test-free, while patient private-property accounts would be regulated to protect and benefit patients.
