Teaching Council (Amendment) Bill 2006
Public bill · Government · Presented
The Bill would retrospectively confirm that rules made for the first election of Teaching Council members in September 2004, and actions taken under them, were legally valid, despite relevant parts of the 2001 Act not yet being formally commenced. It would not limit the Minister’s power to bring the remaining provisions into operation and is not expected to create additional costs.
Formal long title
Bill entitled an Act to make provision concerning the operation of certain sections of the Teaching Council Act 2001 and the validity and effect of certain things purported to be done thereunder
