British-Irish Agreement (Amendment) Bill 2006
Public bill · Government · Presented
Gives Irish law effect to a supplementary agreement between the Irish and UK governments made through exchanged letters dated 25 July 2006. It updates the 1999 British-Irish Agreement legislation so it must be interpreted consistently with the new agreement, and distinguishes it from an earlier 1999 supplementary agreement. The measure has no financial cost.
