Cluster Munitions Bill 2008

The Cluster Munitions Bill 2008 would make it a criminal offence to develop, produce, buy, sell, supply, import, export, transport, use, store or possess cluster munitions, and to finance their trade or the people involved in it. It would ban public investment in them, require banks and pension funds to report that they have not financed them, and create a register of overseas businesses involved in the trade. Breaches could lead to fines, imprisonment and confiscation and destruction of the weapons.
