Freedom of Information (Amendment) (No. 2) Bill 2008

Would expand freedom-of-information rights to more publicly funded or government-appointed bodies and subsidiaries, while requiring key policies to be published online. It would also tighten handling of repeated or unreasonable requests, strengthen protection for personal information, improve oversight and appeals, and make it a serious offence to destroy or conceal records likely to be requested.
