Fuel Poverty and Energy Conservation Bill 2008

The proposal would require the Minister to publish and carry out a strategy to reduce fuel poverty, meaning households unable to keep their homes safely warm, including where over 10% of net income goes on energy. The strategy would include energy-efficiency measures such as insulation, interim targets, regular progress reports and a final target within 15 years.
