The measure increases many social welfare payments, raises the income limits for Family Income Supplement, and changes entitlement to illness, jobseeker’s, child and childcare supports. It also strengthens the State-backed money advice service for people in debt, transfers responsibility for it to the Citizens Information Board, and dissolves the Combat Poverty Agency, moving its staff, property and responsibilities into government.
