Credit Institutions (Financial Support) (Amendment) Bill 2009

The measure would allow the Minister for Finance to ask the Director of Corporate Enforcement to investigate urgent matters involving a supported credit institution that is not registered as a company. The Director would have company-style investigative powers, report findings and recommendations to the Minister, and receive protection from personal legal costs for carrying out the investigation.
