Planning and Development (Amendment) Bill 2010

Public bill · Private Member · Introduced

A change of premises into a head shop or sex shop would require planning permission, even where planning rules would normally allow shops to change what they sell without permission. The measure defines both types of business, while excluding hospitals, healthcare professionals and ordinary licensed premises simply because they sell alcohol.

Formal long title

Bill entitled an Act to provide that a change of use of a structure to use as a Head Shop or a Sex Shop shall not be exempted development; and to provide for connected matters
