Updates Ireland’s chemical-safety laws to align with newer European rules on chemical classification, labelling, packaging, detergents, imports and registration. It gives authorities clearer enforcement powers, requires businesses to fix safety failures, allows inspectors to reject inadequate improvement plans, and increases some penalties to better protect workers, the public and the environment.
