Patents (Amendment) Bill 2011
Public bill · Government · Presented
The Bill would implement the London Agreement in Ireland by removing the requirement to file a full English translation of European patents granted in French or German. This would reduce patent costs for applicants; the patent claims would still be available in English, and related provisions on invalid patents and restoration would be removed or updated.
Formal long title
Bill entitled an Act to give effect to Article 1 of the Agreement on the Application of Article 65 of the Convention on the Grant of European Patents, done at London on 17 October 2000; to amend the Patents Act 1992; and to provide for related matters
