Mobile Phone Radiation Warning Bill 2011

The bill would require mobile phones and their packaging to display a prominent warning, in Irish and English, stating that they emit electromagnetic radiation, including the phone’s radiation level and absorption rate. It would ban the manufacture, supply or sale of non-compliant phones, with fines of up to €3,000, while allowing existing stock to be sold until 31 December 2013.
